Luke Cage is now a Thunderbolt!

In a recent interview with Jeff Parker (Agent of Atlas writer) and Bill Rosemann (editor) it was announced there will be a new line-up for the Thunderbolts starting with issue #144 in May. Parker will be joined by artist Kev Walker (Annihilation: Nova) to produce the new team. The new line-up will be Moonstone, Ghost, Crossbones, Juggernaut, and Man-thing. (Source)
Thoughts on the news after the jump
So the Power Man will be a Thunderbolt. The new development in the series actually interests me as it will show the super human prison life and the villains actually trying to redeem themselves. This does throw a kink in the theory that the Secret Avengers are actually villains, though. Still, it's good to know that one of the heroes Marvel pushed for the better part of the decade is getting a new home.

I actually really like this idea. I got bored of the current Thunderbolts book a while ago. Will definitely be picking this up. Heroic Age stuff is looking better and better in my opinion.
Marvel seems to be winning me back over after dropping the ball with Dark Reign. I will be buying a lot more Marvel titles it seems.
Damn, I was hoping for the old school TBolts to come back.
Glad to see Moonstone will still have a place after Siege, though I had hoped for more then just more T-Bolts. A little surprised to see Crossbones on the team though, given that he did "kill" Steve Rogers and all.
Hopefully it'll be able to hold a candle to Ellis' run on T-Bolts.
Are those the villains that will be redeeming themselves, or the ones we have to watch out for in the future?
Also - Casey, that's Scourge, not Crossbones. He's actually an older character named Nuke that was brought back in Wolverine: Origins. He's a current member of the Thunderbolts (as well as Ghost).
That being said, I don't think I'll be reading this book. I like Cage, but I don't like Parker... don't see a reason to start buying this. Like Casey said, Ellis did the best Thunderbolts of recent memory. Diggle was pretty good, but as soon as he left so did I.
OOOh! Thanks Matt! That makes a lot more sense. Nuke actually really fits quite nicely into the whole redemption thing, I never knew that he became Scourge.
Yup. That was part of Diggle's run in Thunderbolts. He introduced Scourge, and there was a slight mystery as to who he was, and then at the end of Diggle's run they revealed it was Nuke all along and he was a cyborg now. Or something along those lines. He's not inherently good or evil, he's just a soldier when you look at it.
