JMS to Take Over Superman and Wonder Woman

Short on the heels of the announcement of Gail Simone's departure from Wonder Woman, DC has revealed who will be her successor on the title: the prestigious J. Michael Straczynski. After leaving Marvel, JMS has been doing a few minor things with DC such as the revamping of The Red Circle as well as a well-received run on The Brave and the Bold. While the announcement that JMS would be writing the OGN Superman: Earth One was a big one, it's nice to see JMS get to write one of DC's trinity in an in-continuity ongoing series as well.
Wait, did I say one of DC's trinity? I meant two. At the same time as JMS was announced as the new writer for Wonder Woman, we were told he will also begin writing the ongoing Superman series following issue #700. This announcement came as a bit of a surprise, because while JMS has been teasing that he would be writing something for the blue boy scout for a while, most speculation died down with the announcement of Superman: Earth One.
After gaining such an acclaimed writer in their corner, it's great to see DC finally putting JMS on the titles he deserves to be on. Make no mistake, I'm sad to see Gail Simone and James Robinson leave Wonder Woman and Superman, respectively, but JMS spent too much of his time at Marvel writing flagship titles such as Amazing Spider-Man and Thor to be left only writing things like The Brave and the Bold. Check out DC Nation's original announcement, and be sure to tune in later to read an essay on the two characters by the future writer of two thirds of the DC Trinity.

It's funny to me because, waaaaaay back when, I thought I'd try and get into Wonder Woman, but never did. Then the other day, I send out an e-mail to the guys who do the draft and ask if any of them ever read it, because we NEVER cover her book! Next thing I know, Gail Simone is off the book, Brandon and David are covering that on the vidcast as David waves a tearful goodbye, and now JMS is here?
Looks like I'll finally have the excuse I need to start buying Wonder Woman.
Yeah, it looks like my pull is going to have all of the big five of DC for the first time.
I'm still not going to read it. Turns out I still think Wonder Woman is really boring. Odds are I'm not going to read Superman either. I do love me some JMS though, so this is cool news.

The only excuse there is to buy a comic is if its good. We've discussed this. Stop enabling yourself, bitch! I've seen your DCBS shipments!
My short response to that is: JMS means it will be good.

and before you get all up in arms about how he was forced to write that...

You say that as if A) I'm not a vocal One More Day supporter B) that would deter me from buying it anyway and C) you don't look extremely gaytarded for "coughing" on the internet.
Don't you have a Thunderstrike fan club to go run?
