Captain America and Bucky Becomes Captain America and (Insert Hero Here)

Starting with issue #629 this April, the first arc of the revamped book will be Captain America and Hawkeye, illustrated by Alessandro Vitti with covers by Gabrielle Dell'Otto, and will see the two heroes, as Bunn puts it, "go out and fight a bunch of dinosaurs." The core of the book will explore the relationship between these two longtime friends and Avengers (remember, Hawkeye was hand picked to replace Captain America after he died, although he declined the offer), but let's face it -- you're going to buy the book because Captain America and Hawkeye go out and fight dinosaurs.
Bunn also confirms that he has plans for Cap and Iron Man, Cap and Black Widow, tentative hopes for Cap and Union Jack and a "dream" team-up of Captain America and Enigma Force. He also notes that the book will very much be a mixture of arcs and one-off stories, and that the idea of the series is to be accessible per story.
When asked the question on everyone's mind, Marvel.com associate editor Ben Morse noted that Maggott is in fact a possibility for a character team-up, as "X-Men Senior Editor Nick Lowe loves Maggott and he is a very powerful man."
