It’s Abe Sapien Month at Multiversity! To see all sorts of Abe content, like our “Evolution of Abe Sapien” contest, fantastic original art, interviews and more, click here.

To celebrate our “Evolution of Abe Sapien” art contest, which gives every fan with some ambition and a modicum of artistic talent a chance to have their work published in an issue of “Abe Sapien: Dark and Terrible,” as well as take home a complete set of Hellboy Library Editions, we decided to bring in some ringers, to show us how they interpret everyone’s favorite fish-man. We will be posting pieces each day for this entire month, so come join us for 31 Days of Abe!

April Fools! We totally planned on having only 31 Days of Abe sketches, but so many artists that we asked and expected a polite “no” from sent in amazing pieces. And then, artists were reaching out to us, asking if they could participate. So, we are going to go a little bit longer, finally wrapping up with some really special day of release content on April 3. So, for the early part of this week, keep enjoying some amazing Abes!

First up from our bonus coverage is Michael Walsh. Michael recently wrapped the incredible “Comeback” with Ed Brisson for Image Comics, which is a time travel story for people who love time travel stories (as one of those people, I cannot endorse the book highly enough). Just as exciting is the recent announcement that Michael will be the artist on the new IDW “X-Files” comic, which has X-Files creator Chris Carter on board as executive producer (plus the great Joe Harris scripting and our pal Jordie Bellaire coloring!). Another in a long line of friendly Canadians, Michael will be featured on an upcoming episode of The Hour Cosmic, so keep your ears peeled for that, and in the meantime, check out his Tumblr and follow him on Twitter (@Mister_Walsh).

And make sure to pick up “Abe Sapien” #1 on April 3 from Dark Horse!
