Scottish synthpop band CHVRCHES (pronounced “Churches”) have released their third album, Love is Dead, and to mark the occasion, we’re celebrating all the promotional artwork created for them by comic book artist Jamie McKelvie. If it wasn’t evident to anyone who has seen his artwork on “Phonogram” and “The Wicked + the Divine,” Jamie McKelvie loves pop music. If you’ve discovered an exciting new artist, he’s probably already following them on Twitter.

He’s been with CHVRCHES since the release of their first album, The Bones of What You Believe, in 2013, creating posters for every tour. It’s been a fruitful collaboration, eventually leading to him co-directing the video for their 2016 single “Bury It” (featuring Paramore‘s Hayley Williams), which has been embedded here above the artwork. We hope you enjoy this gallery, and the new album out today.

McKelvie isn’t the only comic book artist whom CHVRCHES have inspired. So as a bonus, here’s a poster by Cliff Chiang (“Paper Girls,” “Wonder Woman”) promoting their performance at the 2016 Rock en Seine festival in France:
