Guardians of the Galaxy is coming August 1, and July is going to be a celebration of all things Guardians AND a special benefit art month for Bill Mantlo here at Multiversity. All month, we’ll be posting Guardians-related pieces created by some of our favorite artists, and at the end of the month there will be an auction of many of the pieces of original art to help the man who created Rocket Raccoon, Bill Mantlo. It’s going to be an exciting month, but you can help Bill even if you don’t bid on any art. Read more about Bill and his story here, and if you feel moved to donate to Bill yourself, you can do so by clicking here.

Aaron Conley is the co-creator of “Sabretooth Swordsman,” an original graphic novel from Dark Horse Comics. He is currently, and happily, working on Volume 2 for Dark Horse, hopefully due in 2015. Outside of his tiger-themed work, Conley has done covers and pin ups for books like “Regular Show: Skips,” “Shaolin Cowboy,” “Creepy,” “Undertow,” “Prophet” and “It Girl and the Atomics.” You can find Aaron at his website he shares with “Sabertooth Swordsman” co-creator Damon Gentry, and follow him on on Instagram (@aaronconley77) and Twitter (@AaronConley77)- and make sure to look out for a new 8-page color “Sabretooth Swordsman” appearing in the relaucnhed “Dark Horse Presents” #1 in August. Aaron also just won the prestigious Russ Manning Award at San Diego Comic Con this past weekend – congrats, Aaron!

Megan Wilson is a colorist who has done work on books like “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” for IDW and “Dia De Los Muertos” for Image. You can find her on Facebook and follow her on Twitter (@MeganEngiNerd).

Aaron’s uncolored piece will be auctioned off later this summer to benefit Bill Mantlo. Stay tuned for auction information!

If you are a professional artist interested in donating a piece for the auction, please email brian@multiversitycomics.com or david@multiversitycomics.com for more details.
