Guardians of the Galaxy is coming August 1, and July is going to be a celebration of all things Guardians AND a special benefit art month for Bill Mantlo here at Multiversity. All month, we’ll be posting Guardians-related pieces created by some of our favorite artists, and at the end of the month there will be an auction of many of the pieces of original art to help the man who created Rocket Raccoon, Bill Mantlo. It’s going to be an exciting month, but you can help Bill even if you don’t bid on any art. Read more about Bill and his story here, and if you feel moved to donate to Bill yourself, you can do so by clicking here.

João Vieira is a Brazilian artist sometimes credited as “Azeitona,” which translates to “olive.” João recently colored the IDW miniseries “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Secret History of the Foot Clan,” and has done comics work all throughout South America and Asia. He is also part of the incredible collective Brand New Nostalgia. Check out his deviantArt page, and buy some of his work on Cadence Comic Art.

If you are a professional artist interested in donating a piece for the auction, please email brian@multiversitycomics.com or david@multiversitycomics.com for more details.
