Art Of The Week: Week Of 09/16/2015

So, I don’t know if you know this or anything, but… I kind of like Star Wars. I kind of like it a lot. Like, last week it was announced that The Force Awakens will be released on my birthday this year in the UK and I kind of started crying. So kind of a lot. That’s why I wanted to highlight this piece by Moritat of Captain Phasma or, as I like to call her, The New Coolest Looking Star Wars Character Ever. Honestly, even if this film does suck, I think Phasma will end up like Darth Maul; being the coolest thing in an awful movie. Not that The Force Awakens will suck. God, I hope it doesn’t suck…

Anyway, before we get to the actual art this week, I want to ask for your help with something. I’m looking to really expand Art Of The Week beyond just my taste in artists. I’ve been doing this column for over two years now and I want to kick some new life back into it. If you’re an artist and you want to submit your art for inclusion or you just want to want to see a piece by your favourite artist included, email me at david.h@multiversitycomics.com. I’m going to be including that email in all Art Of The Weeks from now on so feel free to submit any time you like.

Now, go enjoy this week’s art!

Alice W. Castle

Sworn to protect a world that hates and fears her, Alice W. Castle is a trans femme writing about comics. All things considered, it’s going surprisingly well. Ask her about the unproduced Superman films of 1990 - 2006. She can be found on various corners of the internet, but most frequently on Twitter: @alicewcastle
