Welcome to Boomb Tube, where we recap all your favorite weekly animated series! This week, Hal and Company continue to be incredibly ineffective at stopping Aya and The Team give Jamie an intervention.

Green Lantern: The Animated Series continued its recent formula of Hal and The Interceptor Crew hearing something that might help them stop Aya, trying to get it, not getting it, rinse and repeat. This time, they search for Aya’s creator, The Guardian Scar. Unfortunately she was killed a few episodes ago by the Anti-Monitor but she turns up alive… scarred. She explains that Aya was created from the essence of the creature living in the the Green Lantern Battery: Ion. Aya being pronounced I AH. It was there the whole time. Originally, Aya was granted emotions but one day she did a too-accurate impression of Hal from Space Odyssey so Scar shut her down. As a result, Aya cannot deal with actual emotions and feels the need to eliminate all emotion from the universe. She then proceeds to do so. Scar gives Hal and friends a missile full of plot macguffin which will neutralize Aya’s powers. It’s supposed to just hinder her, but Scar reveals that she intended to straight up kill Aya by putting enough explosives in a missile to crack a planet. The missile is fired at Aya who is being confronted by Razer who is attempting to calm her down. The missile does not help matters and also does not kill Aya or Razer since they’re not planets? Anyway, Aya flies off to destroy more planets and Hal and Crew are left looking for another plan to stop her.

Over on Young Justice, The Reach were continuing to succeed in their occupation of Earth; even though they suffered from losing the key to Warworld they still had the possessed Blue Beetle as their propaganda puppet. The Team kidnaps Beetle and takes him to a temple in Bialya where Zatanna can cast a deus ex machina to deactivate Jamie’s beetle. Green Beetle shows up to stop The Team but both he and Blue end up becoming freed from their beetle’s influences, as now are both ready to fight off The Reach. Meanwhile, Miss Martian broke it off with Lagoon Boy which upset approximately no one. Also, Queen Bee, who allowed The Team to infiltrate Bialya, reveals that The Light have plans for destroying The Reach.
