Bridging the Gap: Win A Signed Copy Of The First Issue!

This contest is now over! Thanks to everyone who entered, and congratulations to the winner.

For our second day as a three year old website with a fancy new design, we bring you a second contest! Today we’re giving you the opportunity to win a signed copy of “Mind the Gap” by Jim McCann, Rodin Esquejo and Sonia Oback, which is sure to be one of Image’s biggest series of the year right alongside “Saga”, “Manhattan Projects” and “Hell Yeah.” Wouldn’t you like to have a signed, bagged and boarded copy of this soon-to-be hot collector’s item? OF COURSE you do!

The rules are simple: “Mind the Gap” is the story of Elle Peterssen in a coma, and while she explores the mindspace she finds her in, we are charged with the task of attempting to solve who put her in that position and why. If you’d like to win a free signed copy of “Mind the Gap”, all you have to do is tell us who you think hurt Elle Peterssen.  Your list of culprits are:

  • Jo Wilson
  • Dane Miller
  • Min Peterson
  • Edward Peterssen
  • Edward Peterssen Jr
  • Doctor Gina Geller
  • Nurse Megan Kyle
  • Doctor Hammond
  • “Hunter”
  • Harold Crenshaw
  • Miles

Whodunnit?! Pick a person, any person whether you have a good reason for them to have done it or not! Comment below with your e-mail and you could win a signed copy of the first issue, with the winner chosen at random! Contest ends tomorrow, Friday at Noon EST. The winner will be notified shortly after.

Stay tuned in the coming months as well as we give you as deep a look into the gap as we possibly can.

I haven’t read this yet because I stupidly didn’t order the first issue, but I’m hoping to pick up a copy when I hit FCBD this weekend. But I’m gonna go with Doctor Hammond, based on an instinctual distrust of doctors.

  • Twistedtunnel

My money is on the Edward Junior.

  • Coonsrc

I’m thinking it was Nurse Megan Kyle.

  • William Baker

    -Doctor Gina Geller

Well, I am stuck in Afghanistan right now so like others I haven’t been able to read this yet either. However, I am currently watching Season 3 of Smallville, where Lex Luthor is currently being kept in a mental institution run by a doctor paid off by Lionel Luther. It is creeping me out a little with the whole institutional thing, so Doctor Gina Geller is on my list. Just keep injecting the drugs and you can keep someone in a coma forever.

My shop did not receive copies of the book yet, due to a fatal accident involving a Diamond truck and a car going down the wrong side of the highway, so I am going to have to base this guess off of absolutely nothing relevant whatsoever.

It was definitely Doctor Hammond, who is obviously John Hammond from Jurassic Park. He was so embarrassed over the gruesome failure of his theme park that he decided to return to school to get a doctorate and start a new career. The stress involved in such a major life change was enormous and he could not handle the pressure. He finally snapped when he overheard Elle talking about how terrible Jurassic Park 3 was and tried to kill her.

I heard about the truck accident, actually. It’s very, very sad. However, I can tell you that this only delayed most books for a week, so your shop SHOULD have them next week, as well as a few other delayed books.

trying to get onto more comics :)

Purely a guess but Dane Miller seems suspicious.

    Gotta be Geller. So nosy

It thinks its miles. I think elle and miller had a fight over something on the subway and miles witness the conversation which could of been about her being pregnant. Miller probably denied the baby and said harsh words and walked away. Miles probably jumped from the shadows and beat his sister for having a bastard child and tarnishing the family name. Elle probably called dane for help and when he didn’t answer she went and called jo. In conclusion it believe it was her little douchebag brother

    Edward Peterssen, Jr.
“juniors always have chips on their shoulders

    I’m thinking Edward Junior.

Well up front it’s definitely made to look like Dr. Geller. Right after we see the Attacker talking outside the hospital he turns and walks into the hospital, and the next page introduces an easily startled Dr. Geller in a blue hoodie who lies about where she just was. But then again, why would she be investigating Elle when the Attacker clearly already has the info on her?

Geller’s notepad towards the end, as well as Crenshaw’s comments about this being a “potentially highly volatile situation”, opens a huge conspiracy angle to the whole thing. I think Elle has been undergoing some kind of experimental, psychological sleep therapy or something with Crenshaw (hence the briefcase), and she gets mixed up with the wrong people, or bad people want her to use her to some end. I think someone sedated her and made it LOOK like she was beaten into a coma (head trama minimal, missing tox-screen) simply to get her into an unconscious state. But to what end…

Also, during the ‘deer scene’ the Attacker says, “vitals seem stable, some head trauma, nothing punctured.” Seems like someone with a medical background to me, which would open up Dr.s Geller and Hammond, which both seem TOO obvious. So based on everything I’ve (over)stated, my guess is that Dr. Martin is the attacker.

I think it is Hunter because of the name!
