Just an hour ago, we unveiled our Best Publisher category in our 2020 Year in Review. We had six publishers on our list: Viz Media, DC Comics, Vault Comics, Marvel Comics, BOOM! Studios, and Image Comics, with Image and BOOM! tied for the top spot. This was a weird year, full of starts and stops, and so it’s a little unfair that we are ranking these companies at all.
That said, let’s rank them again!
We want to know which of the publishers on our list you feel deserve the top spot. To make this a little more interesting, we’ll expand the list with the next five publishers from our initial tally, to give some more options. So that means that First Second, TKO, Fantagraphics, Dark Horse, and Kodansha are all up for voting as well. These publishers represent a really wide array of comics, and there should be something for everyone in this list.
