Reader Poll: What was the Best Live-Action Comic Book Show of 2023?

Last week, we asked you to name your favorite comic book movie of 2023, and we’re continuing to close out the year on that note with the live-action comic book TV shows of the past 12 months. 2023 was certainly eventful: it saw the end of the Arrowverse, Titans, Doom Patrol, and Riverdale, the deceleration of Marvel’s Disney+ shows, the debut of two Walking Dead continuations, and the Hollywood strikes delay Resident Alien season three until 2024, as well as Superman & Lois‘s final season to later next year.

We also saw One Piece break the curse on American versions of Japanese comics; Netflix, Disney, and Apple TV+ respectively adapt a Vertigo series, a Gene Luen Yang graphic novel, and a manga; and not one, but two shows based on Jeff Lemire’s work. Speaking of Lemire, we’ve opted not to list the Essex County miniseries, since it would be unfair as it hasn’t been released outside Canada yet, but rest assured there’s still plenty of international choices in our poll. So vote below for your favorite, and to be sure to check back for the results next week. Happy holidays everyone!
