Today marks the US release of Black Panther, the eighteenth Marvel Cinematic Universe film. 18 films in ten years is a pretty incredible achievement, especially when you consider that all of 2009 was skipped, and 2012 jut had Avengers. The fact that all of the films have been decent, if not good, is even more of a feat, and really says something about how Marvel makes their films. There is plenty to the theory that they are cookie-cutter films, without too much influence from the films’ individual writers/directors, but the fact remains: aside from Wonder Woman, no DC film has even come close to the entertainment level of even the lower-tier Marvel films.
But let’s not talk about the lower-tier films. In my Black Panther review, I said that it might just be the best Marvel film yet. While it is obviously too early to make that call – the majority of our readers haven’t seen the film yet – we want to know which film you guys feel is the best up to this point.
