This month marks the 30th anniversary of Batman: The Animated Series, the revolutionary, Daytime and Primetime Emmy Award-winning cartoon that gave the world Kevin Conroy as the Dark Knight, and Mark Hamill as the Joker, as well as essential new characters like Harley Quinn, Renée Montoya, and Nora Fries. What better way to celebrate three decades of the show (which premiered September 5, 1992), and the DC Animated Universe that sprang from it, then to ask: what is your favorite episode?
For the record, we chose not to distinguish between the original Fox Kids run, and The New Batman Adventures, despite its different animation style, as it would’ve been strange to leave out episodes like “Mad Love” from the options, and because The New Batman Adventures was only 24 episodes anyway. It was tough whittling down the choices to only 20 episodes (of 109), but as always, if we’ve left out your favorite, feel free to tell us in the comments. The results will be revealed on Monday.
