Last week, The Mandalorian debuted on Disney+. This show has many wonderful elements, but none have taken the world by storm more than the baby Yoda or, as we’ve been calling it in our reviews, Yodell. Just look at this Force user?
How could you not want to take it home?
While that isn’t comics, we’ve seen a fair amount of similarly adorable sidekicks/supporting characters over the years that fit the same bill. Whether they started in movies (Baby Groot, Porgs), or were used as pets (Bat-Cow), or were hallucinations (Bloodsquirt), they all helped define the runs/comics that they appeared in. And not all of them, like Daigoro from “Lone Wolf and Cub,” were used as ancillary characters, or even had ‘cute’ as one of their most notable characteristics. But, we still think they are, and so they made our list.
