Next week sees the release of “The Sandman Universe” #1, the beginning of both the new line of Vertigo comics, and also the return of one of the most beloved comics of the 20th century to prominence at DC. While Neil Gaiman is not writing a monthly title, he is involved in the overarching themes of this new, shared universe, and hand selected the creators for the titles.

This got us thinking about Gaiman’s past work. For someone of his stature in the industry, his bibliography is relatively small – but what a bibliography! We’ve selected ten of the works that we feel are the most important or memorable in his canon. Now, it’s your turn to tell us which is your favorite. Vote in the poll below, and tell us what we missed in the comments!
