Reader Poll: What is Your Favorite Sports Comic?

For fans of sport, this is a bit of a fallow time of year. We are almost a week removed from the (incredibly boring) Super Bowl, still a week or so away from pitchers and catchers reporting to Spring Training, and still a month or so away from March Madness. Sure, the NHL and NBA are going, but this is hardly the best time to turn on some athletic competition.

Luckily, there are a bevy of great sports comics to tide you over until things get really interesting. We’ve got everything from stories that have a vague sports connection to those that are more or less unthinkable without the sports connection. You’ll notice a healthy amount of manga present here, which is probably the place to get sports stories in comic form right now.

If we forgot your favorite book, or have anything else to add, let us know in the comments!

    By and | Apr 12, 2024 | Reader Poll

Much like we did when the first three were announced, we are interested in our readers’ take on the next three ‘From the Ashes’ X-Men titles. This is a massive reset over the past four years of the Krakoa era that was shepherded in by Jonathan Hickman. This lineup seems a little less purposely cohesive, […]
