This weekend is New York Comic Con, one of the largest conventions in the country dedicated (mostly) to comics. To try and list the things you can do at a convention this size would blow the minds of the non-con attendee, who probably thinks people just…actually, I have no idea what they think we do! But this week, we want to know, specifically, what you do at a comic convention.
When you’re coming down the escalator at the Javits Center and you see tens of thousands of people milling about, it is amazing how there are some people whose con experiences can be so different than yours. Last year, I (Brian) was talking to a friend who was there a few weeks later. I asked him if he saw the DC booth, to which he said “No, DC wasn’t there.” I had to explain where the booth was, and he admitted that, not only didn’t he see that booth, he also didn’t hit Artist Alley, which was in a similar part of the building. And yet, this friend still had enough to do for 2 days worth of the con.
Also, many of us go for a number of these things, so we made the poll checkboxes this week, so you could select a few options. Vote in our Reader Poll, and check back on Monday to see how our readers spent their conventions!
