This week, Marvel announced “Fantastic Four: Grand Design,” a new miniseries from Tom Scioli. A quasi-sequel to Ed Piskor’s “X-Men: Grand Design,” the series looks to retell longtime character histories through a visionary’s creator’s lens. We’re huge fans of both the series and the two creators associated withe “Grand Design” so far. And that got us thinking: what Marvel characters would be next for the same treatment?
A few ground rules: no characters that would likely pop up in either Piskor or Scioli’s books. Secondly, we only looked at characters that have been around for a considerably amount of time, or characters with a particularly interesting history of legacy. We put together the following list of characters that we think would be perfect fits for this type of series.
