Last week saw the release of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, the latest installment of Legendary Pictures’ MonsterVerse franchise starring Godzilla, King Kong, and various other kaiju (known as Titans in the series’ nomenclature.) The film’s success, along with that of the Apple TV+ series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, virtually guarantees at least one more Kongzilla flick serving up a photoreal realization of late ’60s/early ’70s kaiju silliness, which will hopefully jump the shark all the way into space.
So with that in mind, what has been your favorite film or TV show in the MonsterVerse so far?
