Reader Poll: What Musician Makes the Best Comics?

Today, musicians all over the world begin FAWM – February Album Writing Month. The goal is to write 14 songs in 28 days, and it is great excuse for folks who aren’t professional musicians to find some time and focus on one of their favorite hobbies. But today, we’re talking about a different kind of dabbling, and that is when professional musicians dabble in comics.

This is a larger phenomenon than you may realize, with musicians handling their own imprints (Gerard Way’s ‘Young Animal’ at DC), making the jump to comics full time (Say Anything’s Max Bemis), or even illustrating their own works (Lights). In fact, there are even a few musicians who are, potentially, better known for their comics than their music (like Zak Sally).

All of this is to say that we are big fans of some of these folks, but we want to know who you guys think is doing the best comics of all these musicians? Vote in our reader poll, and let us know if we forgot your favorite musician turned comic creator in the comments!
