Next week marks the beginning of “Mister Miracle,” the newest Tom King/Mitch Gerads joint, as well as the latest Jack Kirby creation to get a new series during this, the 100th anniversary of his birth. Mister Miracle is part of the Fourth World, Kirby’s massive, overarching DC Universe story, that involves a group known collectively as the New Gods.
The New Gods are some of the most fascinating, and underused, characters in the DC Universe. Right now, aside from “Mister Miracle,” the only regular appearance of a New God is in the Young Animal miniseries “BUG! The Adventures of Forager.” While we love that series, we think it’s time for another New God or two to get a solo book. Who would you most like to see get a new title?
