Yesterday, our own Kate Kosturski reviewed the first issue of the new “Doctor Aphra” series. The book’s return comes amid a few weeks of wild rumors about The Mandalorian‘s second season, as well as new TV series and films. It’s a great reminder that Star Wars is bigger than just the stuff that we see on cinema screens (well, stuff we saw on cinema screens back when we could still go to the movies).
For some folks, like my Force Ghost Coast to Coast co-host Matt Liguori and my DC3cast cohort Zach Wilkerson, Star Wars is less about the films and more about how those films have led to an entire universe of interesting characters and adventures in television, video games, and novels. So, for today’s Reader Poll, we thought we’d turn an eye to the characters that have come from the non-film projects, and see which characters resonate with our readers the most.
I know that the easy answers are the Child, aka Baby Yoda, due to the cuteness, and Ahsoka Tano due to both awesomeness and recency bias from the finale of The Clone Wars. But we’ve tried to pull from multiple sources and provide a good cross section of the Star Wars universe beyond just the obvious ones.
So, vote in our Reader Poll, and check back on Monday for the results!
