Every year, the Hugo Awards are presented by the World Science Fiction Society to honor the best of recent science fiction and fantasy literature, art, and media. Last week’s ceremony recognized a diverse array of talent, from N.K. Jemisin, who became the first author to win the Hugo for Best Novel three consecutive times, to Rebecca Roanhorse, the first Native American writer to win the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer. Some of this year’s recipients, like Nnedi Okorafor, have recently begun working in the comic book industry, but many of them have yet to make the leap to writing and illustrating comics, so today we’re asking, of those winners, who would you most love to see on a comic book?

This poll should not be seen as a contest, but as a celebration of the many as-yet-untapped voices who should contribute to the medium of comics. We welcome you to tell us in the comments who you voted for and why, as well as who else you’d like to see on a comic book series. Here’s to them!
