Marvel has had an itchy cancellation finger for a couple of years now, with shockingly few series reaching double digits, and even fewer hitting the 24 or 30 issue mark. The thought of hitting 100 seems like a relic of a begotten era. But this year, due to a combination of COVID-19, “Empyre,” and their usual short-run mindset, Marvel has cancelled a fair amount of series that seemed like they would get longer runs.
For characters like “Dr. Strange” and “Ghost Rider” to only get a half-dozen issues seems like something new, even when it’s nothing exactly new to see these titles get a quick hook. Other titles, like “Strikeforce” or “Amazing Mary Jane” seem less surprising to get abbreviated runs, though I’m sure fans of those series would feel quite differently.
So, of all of the series that met their untimely end, which one will you miss the most? Vote in our Reader Poll and check back on Monday for the results!
