We are just a few hours into the worldwide release of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. We’ll have a review up of the film later today, but thus far the critical response has been good to great (71 on Metacritic, 92% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes). Marvel appears to have another hit on its hands, and we’re excited to see the continued diversification of heroes on the big screen.
But after this film, there are another nine films (and nine Disney+ series) in Phase 4 of the MCU. With Black Widow and Shang-Chi behind us now, which is the upcoming Phase 4 film you’re most jazzed about?
For some, the dawn of the Multiverse in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness signal the most exciting direction because of the sheer breadth of what is available via that route. There are people for whom the total stylistic shift in Eternals is a promising diversifying of the types of films that Marvel makes. Others can’t wait to see Jane Foster pick up Mjölnir next year. For me, the idea of a well done Fantastic Four film is the dragon I’ve been chasing since tracking down Roger Corman’s 1994 attempt at a comic convention.
So, vote in our Reader Poll, and check back on Monday for the results. If you’re going to the cinema this weekend, enjoy Shang-Chi!
