This week, we lost two legendary comics creators in Kevin O’Neill and Carlos Pacheco. We will be talking about Pacheco next week, as he absolutely deserves a celebration of his work. But this week, we are honoring O’Neill. O’Neill’s career doesn’t resemble a lot of his peers, but more like a lot of the artists working today. O’Neill got his start working in the British institution of 2000 AD, but quickly started to do predominantly creator-owned work. In some ways, O’Neill’s career is the model that many creators take today, yet another way that his legacy will live on.
The only, and I mean only, downside of this model is that we don’t have quite as much work from O’Neill as we do from his peers. However, the work we do have is phenomenal. And so, we want to know, which of O’Neill’s marquee works is your favorite? Vote in our Reader Poll, and come back for the results on Monday.
