Today sees the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the official kick-off to Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While reviews look about the same as they do for every MCU film (‘humor and heart’), we’re not going to focus on the film for right now. Instead, let’s go back to the source material: who is your favorite Ant-Man in the comics?
Hank Pym is the original Ant-Man, and an impossibly important piece of the 616. He’s a founding Avenger, he invented Ultron, he became Giant-Man (!), he’s a legend.
His successor, Scott Lang, is a reformed criminal who dons the helmet and is probably the best known by the general public, due to Paul Rudd’s appearances as Lang in the MCU. The best Lang story, for what it’s worth, is the Matt Fraction-penned “FF” with he, She-Hulk, Medusa, and Ms. Thing.
Finally, Eric O’Grady, another former criminal, was part of the Thunderbolts and Secret Avengers, before his death and resurrection (via a Life Model Decoy).
While all have their merits, we want to know which is your tops, so vote in our Reader Poll and check back for the results on Monday!
