Last night, the world received the devastating news that Akira Toriyama, the creator of the globally beloved manga/anime behemoth “Dragon Ball,” and much more, died last week, aged just 68. We want to celebrate Toriyama’s legacy, and what better way than to ask: who is your favorite hero from the “Dragon Ball” series?
Main protagonist Goku is a beloved character, arguably on par with Clark Kent for a certain generation at this point, but there are many who feel his son Gohan should’ve been allowed to surpass him as the series’ lead. Likewise, Vegeta and Piccolo, who both debuted as villains, undoubtedly have more depth and complexity than Goku, and some of you probably just think Bulma, Chi-Chi, or Android 18 are the best characters in the franchise.
So vote below to tell us your favorite, and to check back for the results on Monday. Is there a character you feel is missing, and should be considered a hero instead of a supporting character? Be sure to tell us in the comments, as we certainly want to look back on and sing our praises for as much of Toriyama’s life and legacy as we can – RIP sir.
