Reader Poll: What is Your Favorite Keith Giffen Work?

Earlier this week, the comics world lost a giant in Keith Giffen. Whether or not you were, personally, a big fan of his work, Giffen’s pen and pencil touched almost every Marvel or DC Superhero at some point over his nearly 50-year career. To honor Giffen, we wanted to make this week’s Reader Poll about some of our favorite Giffen comics.

But here’s the problem: there are just too many.

We tried to include most of Giffen’s most well-received work, as well as his work that had some heft to it, in terms of issues produced. But still, we are only scratching the surface.

That said, we did include some of his work with his most frequent collaborators, J.M. DeMatteis and Kevin Maguire (“Justice League”), some recent work with his superfan Jeff Lemire (“Inferior Five”), the projects that he was part of the showrunning/planning teams for (“52,” “The New 52: Future’s End”), his cosmic Marvel work (“Annihilation”), his cosmic DC work (“Legion of Super-Heroes”), a smattering of non-Big 2 books (“Hero Squared,” “Trencher”), and a few works that featured some of his more notable co-creations (“Blue Beetle,” the issue of “Marvel Preview” where Rocket Raccoon debuted).

So, vote in our Reader Poll, and check back on Monday for the results. If we forgot your favorite Giffen book, we apologize. Let us know in the comments what we missed.

Rest well, Mr. Giffen.
