Earlier this week, DC revealed the publishing plan for their summer event, “Knight Terrors.” Much like “Convergence,” “Future State,” and “Villains Month” before it, this event is going to take over the bulk of DC’s publishing for its duration. In this case, for July and August, DC will only publish a handful of titles that don’t fall under the “Knight Terrors” banner, and most of those are miniseries and/or non-main continuity titles.
While it is too early to judge the event on its content – the first glimpse we get will be in two weeks for Free Comic Book Day – we want to know what you think of this style of event. Do you like that DC’s event is dwarfing the rest of its line for eight weeks?
On one hand, this is a great time to let DC’s regular creative teams catch their breath, get a little ahead of the schedule, and recharge for the next year. That said, the events mentioned above as similarly taking over the line did not tend to do too much to further the overarching DC metanarrative, leaving these months to feel like filler.
So, we want to know, which side are you coming down on? Vote in our Reader Poll, and check back on Monday for the results.
