Today is Groundhog Day, a holiday made up by ‘Big Groundhog’ to attract business to Punxsutawney, PA. But it is also the day celebrated in the classic Bill Murray film of the same name, where Murray plays a dickhead TV weatherman forced to relive the same day over and over again. While (hopefully) this has never actually happened to any of our lovely readers, as longtime comics fans, it can sometimes seem like we’re reliving the same events over and over again.
This is especially true at Marvel where, not only are ideas repeated, but there are multiple events that feature the same name. While the events are obviously different, were there really no other names for ‘Original Sin’ as to not step on the X-Men event of the same name just six years later?
