Reader Poll: What Was the Best OGN of 2022?

In what is our final of the ‘looking back’ Reader Polls of January, we want to talk about OGNs. The original graphic novel is one of the most innovative and constantly changing form of comics. As with our other polls, we collected all the top vote-getters from our internal staff polling, and set those as the options for the poll. We also added one additional book, which was not released when our staff began their voting, which is Zoe Thorogood’s “It’s Lonely at the Centre of the Earth.”

This year, as was the case last year, our staff was partial to Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips’s “Reckless” series. The hard boiled crime stuff is always fun, but there’s a lot more to the 2022 OGNs than just “Reckless.” There’s autobiography (the aforementioned “It’s Lonely At The Centre Of The Earth”), horror (“The Bone Orchard Mythos: The Passageway”), coming of age (“All My Friends”), and lots more.

So, vote in our Reader Poll, and check for the results on Monday. And, if you’re someone who is more used to reading weekly floppies, I’d love to use this opportunity to encourage you to check out an OGN.
