As many of you know, we try to cover comics from as many angles as we can on Multiversity. One area that we’ve really bumped up in the past few years is our coverage of television shows based on comics. This autumn, our staff is going to be covering a staggering number of shows, new and old: Hilda, Runaways, The Flash, and more. But two shows that we don’t have anyone reviewing yet are The Walking Dead and Avengers Assemble: Black Panther’s Quest.
Avengers Assemble: Black Panther’s Quest is the fifth season of the Disney XD animated Marvel show, starting its fifth season on September 23rd. This season is, you guessed it, based around T’Challa, and seemingly follows the events of the fourth season, Secret Wars.
The Walking Dead is entering a transitional place with its ninth season, as two of its original stars, Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) and Lauren Cohan (Maggie Green) are both leaving mid-way through the season. The show, still one of the most successful on cable, will have to adapt quite a bit to the new reality of a Rick and Maggie-less show. The AMC series returns on October 7th.
All of our television reviews are done in the ‘5 Thoughts’ style, a mixture of recap and review, and we look for unique voices to write those reviews. These are unpaid reviews, but can lead to future writing opportunities for Multiversity, which come with a number of perks, including interview opportunities, advanced review copies, and press access to conventions. Plus, it’s fun!
