Sunday night is Wrestlemania, the Showcase of the Immortals. For 34 years now, Vince McMahon’s WWE (nee WWF) has put on a spectacle of immense proportions under the Wrestlemania banner. This is the week you’re most likely to see mainstream media discussing the machinations of the professional wrestling world, and most likely to see people on social media hanging out with their friends for an event that is – at least to this writer – unquestionably more fun than the Super Bowl. Does the big game have flamethrowers? Liberace? I didn’t think so.
Anyway, comics and wrestling are interesting bedfellows lately, with the fanbases being blurred every day, and a number of books recently focusing on the world of professional wrestling, both in and out of kayfabe. Which is your favorite? Do you like the storyline recaps of “WWE?” Or the absolute batshit machinations of “Warrior?” Vote in our reader poll, and let us know why you voted the way you did in our comments!
