In March, the new series from Kyle Starks and Erica Henderson drops from Image/Skybound, “Assassin Nation.” The series revolves around a crew of assassins who are hired to be…well, why not just watch the trailer?

We got a chance to sit down with one of the assassins, Fernando, to see what goes on inside his mind.

What’s your weapon of choice?

Fernando: What is my weapon of choice? You ask Fernando this? Listen. Look at me. I am Fernando. It doesn’t matter what weapon I use because Fernando is the weapon. Fernando’s body, Fernando’s mind. They are the weapon, you see.

Who was your first hit?

Fernando: Who was Fernando’s first hit. Hmm. There have been so many kills, so many years. You cannot get to Number One Killer without many, many, very, very good, very impressive kills. But, I will tell you, Fernando was very young and that first one was like the last—like Fernando was put on this Earth to be amazing and to take lives. And he was.

Who would play you in a movie about your life?

Fernando: You would want Fernando to play Fernando, of course! No one else has his combination of heat and machismo. No one else drips sexual energy like Fernando. No one moves like Fernando.

Has anyone ever tried to get out of paying you for your services?

Fernando: Are you joking with Fernando? I only deal with professionals. I always get paid up front. But, once, a very young Fernando had a partnership and the other pendejo tried to run off with the profits, but I can promise you he did not run farther or faster than one of Fernando’s bullets.

You can check out interviews with some of the other assassins over at Monkeys Fighting Robots, The Beat, Paste, and check out one tomorrow at SyFy Wire.

And check out the issue when it comes out in March.
