This past weekend was New York Comic Con, the East Coast’s largest comics and pop culture event of the year. Multiversity brought 15 staffers to the convention this year for interviews, panel reports, and more. Over the next month or so, we’ll be sharing all of our experiences here on the site. So, even if you couldn’t make it yourself, you can see the con through our eyes.

Jeff Rougvie has worked in the music industry for many years, working with artists like David Bowie, Elvis Costello, and Bob Mould. Now, he’s launching a new series at Image called “Gunning for Hits,” part crime comic, part music industry tale, set in the mid-1980s. Drawn by Moritat, the first issue drops in January. Until then, you can check out this Rougvie-curated Spotify playlist featuring tracks that inspired the comic. Music obsessee and senior editor Brian Salvatore spoke with Jeff on Thursday at NYCC.

Thanks to Image and Jeff for setting this up. And, if you’re looking for something to listen to at work today, take it from Jeff and Brian and seek out Tsar.
