Ok, so bear with me on this one. Yesterday the trailer for Creed dropped. No, it’s not about the band. It’s actually a continuation of the Rocky franchise by framing what is essentially a reboot of the original film as a sequel following Apollo Creed’s son seeking out a trainer who is a down and out former champion. Except instead of finding Burgess Meredith’s Mickey Goldmill, he finds Rocky Balboa himself. It’s a really cool trailer for a film that looks really good and to celebrate I wanted to open with this piece of the Italian Stallion himself by Gene Gonzales.

The rest of this week’s artwork is collected down below, including a bunch of Batman-related art that was going to be this week’s theme to celebrate the release of the pretty excellent Batman: Arkham Knight. Enjoy!

    Alice W. Castle

Sworn to protect a world that hates and fears her, Alice W. Castle is a trans femme writing about comics. All things considered, it’s going surprisingly well. Ask her about the unproduced Superman films of 1990 - 2006. She can be found on various corners of the internet, but most frequently on Twitter: @alicewcastle
