One of the casualties of “Secret Wars” was the ending of Nathan Edmondson and Phil Noto’s “Black Widow”. While the run certainly wasn’t perfect, at 20 issues it’s the longest running ongoing series featuring the character as the title character. It was also a perfect fit for Phil Noto as an artist and, as the above image from his tumblr shows, she just won’t be the same without him. Fare thee well, “Black Widow”, until we meet again in All-New, All-Different circumstances.

Anyway, enough with the sob story, you’re here for Art, right? Well, Art’s out of town. But we do have art! Collected down below are pieces from some of the best comic book artists in the industry

Alice W. Castle

Sworn to protect a world that hates and fears her, Alice W. Castle is a trans femme writing about comics. All things considered, it’s going surprisingly well. Ask her about the unproduced Superman films of 1990 - 2006. She can be found on various corners of the internet, but most frequently on Twitter: @alicewcastle
