Welcome, one and all, to Multiversity’s Art of the Week! Each week, we scour the internet for art sourced from the blogs, tumblrs, twitters, and instagrams of the best comic book and manga artists out there and curate them here for your viewing pleasure. In a few weeks we will see the 35th anniversary of Disney’s The Gummi Bears- a cast of colorful Saturday morning characters, loosely based on the gummy bear candies (and co-created by former Disney CEO Michael Eisner). Besides appearing in the cartoons, The Gummi Bears also appeared in comics (including a daily newspaper comic strip). This week we celebrate The Gummi Bears’ anniversary by looking at several different artist interpretations (both new and old).
