Welcome back to Multiversity’s Art Of The Week. This week, six years ago, the comics industry lost a much beloved figure when Mike Wieringo passed away. For many, including myself, his work with Mark Waid on “The Flash” helped define that character as well as their work on “Fantastic Four”. He is still missed to this day and that’s why I wanted to feature this piece by Mike Wieringo of the man himself, along with a write-up by writer/artist Jason Latour. I also encourage you all to read what Skottie Young wrote about him as it is a wonderful look at a great man.
As always, the rest of this week’s art is down below.

Sgt. Rock by Joe Kubert and Doc Shaner, in memory of Kubert who passed away a year ago this week. Our memorial post of his work will say more than I ever could about him.

Hellboy by Skottie Young, who posted a boatload of sketches from Wizard World Chicago which you should check out.

‘That’s Numberwang!’ by Erica Henderson, picked specially for our glorious overlord, Matt Meylikhov.

Faora & Sif by Kris Anka A.K.A. the most badass team-up ever.
