Psylocke by Bryan Lee O’Malley

This week’s Art Feature is something special. This week’s featured piece is from the ever-popular Canadian Powerhouse Bryan Lee O’Malley, who just so happens to have created something that went on to become a little art house flick in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World! “Scott Pilgrim” happens to be one of my favorite series’, in no small part to O’Malley’s lovely artwork. This week, he just so happened to draw one of my favorite X-Men of all time in Psylocke, complete with a badass katana and new outfit! I couldn’t help but give it the weekly honor. Great stuff Bryan!

From there, it’s a mix of Marvel and DC, with mostly X-Men pieces from the above O’Malley, Mike Maihack, and new “Wolverine and the X-Men” artist Ramon Perez! Closing out the Marvel side of things, Dan McDaid shares a great drawing of the indomitable Doctor Doom.

Fro mthere we have a mix of DC, from Michael Cho’s always gorgeous Superman to Jill Thompson’s adorable Wonder Woman. “Supergirl” artist Mahmud Asrar draws Kara’s best friend Wonder Girl and then friend-of-the-site Joe Eisma posted a great Batgirl vs. Catwoman sketch. Finally, Dustin Nguyen published a great Batgirl and David J. Cutler gets a touchdown with his Big Barda sketch to close it out.

Which were your favorites this week? Let us know in the comments!

Gilbert Short

Gilbert Short. The Man. The Myth. The Legend. When he's not reading comic books so you don't have to, he's likely listening to mediocre music or watching excellent television. Passionate about Giants baseball and 49ers football. When he was a kid he wanted to be The Ultimate Warrior. He still kind of does. His favorite character is Superman and he will argue with you about it if you try to convince him otherwise. He also happens to be the head of Social Media Relations, which means you should totally give him a follow onTwitter.
