The prodigal son has returned! Art of the Week is back and it’s under my control again, and for the first week, I’m going to be highlighting a lot of great pieces. The first one? This one comes straight from the heart. You see, I just read Wolverine and the X-Men #18. SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!

And Jason Aaron had my favorite character – Broo – get straight up killed by Kade Kilgore in it. Even though I’m a long time comic reader and I have been trained to not trust death, that one really hit me. The way it was delivered. The way no one noticed his light go out. The meaningless nature of his death. It was really heartbreaking, and powerful storytelling. So this week, the kick off sketch is from Jim Hanna, depicting his favorite, my favorite, Broo. YOU’RE MY BOY, BROO!!!

Now, to the art.
