The world lost a comics giant this week in Albert Uderzo, whose “Asterix” series has kept readers across the world laughing for over six decades. Uderzo, the child of Italian immigrants in France, survived a turbulent childhood (including the Nazi occupation of his country), to draw one of the most beloved comics of all time, and naturally tributes are being paid from all over.
