For this week’s Art Feature, there’s a special update of sorts as the featured Superman piece from a few weeks ago is not finished. Paolo M. Rivera posted a teaser of sorts to the first piece, and while it was amazing then, it’s even better now. The classic Kirby-inspired Krackle makes it leap off the page with vibrant colors and amazing energy. But that’s what the Kirby Krackle is for, right?
From there on, it’s a eclectic collection of art ranging from DC inspired, like the Superman piece and the Dark Knight Apes Joker below by Massimo Carnevale to a Marvel-Inspired Storm piece by Ming Doyle. Following the Big Two are works from Jorge F. Munoz, who posted a Butcher Baker piece and Joe Eisma, who celebrates his characters’ birthdays in style! Happy birthday MGA kids! Afte that, Natalie Nourigat seems to raid my DVR and my nostalgia all at once with a Power Rangers inspired Community Piece! Check out Zordean in the background! Is Pierce Lord Zedd? Possibly the White Ranger? Only Natalie knows for sure! Following that, Michael Avon Oeming and Dustin Nguyen shared two drawings inspired by movies, as Oeming posts a Taxi Driver piece and Nguyen shares a piece inspired by the upcoming Pixar epic Brave.
Following that incredible Brave piece, Emi Lenox posts a piece called “Ocean Girl” and Ricardo Venancia shares a work under the conept “Boxing.” Finally, Dustin Nguyen is back with a tribute to one of the most inspiration and influential storyteller artists of our time, Maurice Sendak. RIP Maurice.
