Caanan Grall is, besides an extremely talented (and Eisner nominated) cartoonist, an extremely nice guy. When we asked him if we could interview him for our Artist August feature, he not only agreed but offered an exclusive for us.
That exclusive is this post here – it’s one of the spin-off strips from his web comic “Max Overacts” about Max’s sister Andromeda – titled “Time for Another Andistraction!” Caanan has been talking on his site for a while about these strips, and he is planning on printing all 12 as bonuses to the print version of “Max” (contribute to his IndieGoGo campaign today!!).
For now though, we have the first look at these strips, as Andromeda and her once boyfriend James exchange gifts for Christmas. In true Caanan fashion, the results are both funny and touching.
