Welcome to another Burpee’s Got You Covered. It’s a 4th of July edition that has nothing to do with the 4th of July. That’s alright though as we have some excellent covers this week that aren’t quite as resounding as fireworks but all the same are rather brilliant.

So click the jump and let’s see what we’ve got!

5. Thor #611

by Mico Suayan

Two words. HIS CAPE! That thing looks out of control awesome. That is one of the better-looking capes that I have seen in some time. It looks extremely dynamic. I just want to reach in and touch it. I’d just be afraid Thor would light my ass up for trying.

4. Astonishing X-Men #34

by Phil Jimenez

This is an intense cover. That is a lot of no good Brood action surrounding everyone’s favorite weather witch. I really enjoy the frenetic feel of this cover.

3. Marvel Zombies 5 #4
by Geof Darrow

Machine Man about to handle some business! Awesome looking cover that also has some great detail. This cover is just insane to look at. It’s a true visual treat.

2. Wonder Woman #600 (Variant)
by Adam Hughes

While I felt the regular cover was a serious disappointment this cover was anything but. This cover gives us a throwback with a modern update. Thankfully not too modern though because the new costume…well…I think that’s been covered enough.

1. Green Lantern #55 (Variant)
by Doug Mahnke and Christian Alamy

Come on how can you not enjoy this cover? It’s rare that I purchase a variant but I really think this is going to be one of those occasions. This is easily one of my favorite covers of the last few months

Some nice covers like I said right? What covers did everyone else enjoy? Any I left off? Hit the comments up and let your voice be heard.

Before we part ways for another week let’s take a look at the artist list as it stands now. No change this week in the top three but some movement down the list as some guys are getting close to sneaking into the three. If they’ll get in, we’ll just have to wait and see.

1. Adi Granov — 11
2. David Finch — 7
3. Adam Kubert — 4
4. Chris Bachalo — 4
