So, you’re a fan of good comics and you’re already reading “Trillium”, right? Great.
Now, did you know there was a secret code hidden in some of the text? No? Well, lucky for you, your friends at Multiversity have unlocked said code just for you. Due to the nature of this article’s content, it’s necessarily spoilerful. Out of deference to people who may want to decipher this on their own, the rest of the article will be broken into sections of increasing spoilerly material.
The First Circle of Spoilers: Where is the code?
The blue aliens featured throughout the series don’t speak English. Instead, their text comes out in strange symbols which are only partially translated for you. These symbols aren’t random, and their full message can be deciphered with a little effort. If you want to figure out the secret to reading it yourself, now it the time to click away from this page.
The Second Circle of Spoilers: How is it in code?
When you compare the translated text to the undeciphered text, two things become apparent: first, the alien’s language uses a one-to-one character ratio as English, and second, the alien symbols repeatedly line up perfect to their Latin counterpart. Their alphabet is a simple substitution cipher, and a quick browse of any issue will yield enough letters to create a key.
