So when we here at Multiversity Comics heard that Jason Aaron and Kieron Gillen had drafted their teams for the Regenesis era of the X-Men we felt we needed to do this too! Who doesn’t like drafting teams?! We sure loved it, as four writers picked their casts and the creative teams they’d like on their books for the Post-Schism world.

So check behind the cut to see whom at MC selected whom!

X-Treme X-Men #1

Writer: Rick Remender
Artist: Clay Mann
Gatefold Cover: Jae Lee
It’s the All-New X-Treme X-Men!
Schism has rocked the X-Men and nothing will ever be the same. When rumors that Lady Deathstrike and the Reavers have been resurrecting X-Villains surfaces, Rogue gathers a team that aims to stop them once and for all. Join the X-Treme X-Men as they establish home base in the husk of a Sentinel on Genosha and battle the likes of Lady Deathstrike and the Reavers, Omega Red and Cyborg! Also, how do Mojo and Spiral fit into things? Find out starting here in the title so packed with action we could only call it X-Treme!
Not familiar with some of these faces? No problem! Bios for each character in the back!
42 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

Rogue (Leader) – The driving force of the team.
X-23 – Team tracker and downright asskicker. When the ugly work needs to be done and the fear of god needs to be put into an opponent Laura is unleashed.
Gambit – The covert ops and intelligence liaison to the underground. Keeps the team informed of arising problems that need to be handled before they get out of hand.
X-Man – The mutant shaman represents the nuke that’s deployed when other tactics just don’t work. He also is used as the psi-link between those in the field and Prodigy who provides tactical instruction from their sentinel base in Genosha.
Maggott – Along with X-23 he provides tracking of targets by using his psychometric powers (which most people forget he has). When things get nasty he also steps up to provide strength and power thanks to Eany and Meany his slug digestive system.
Prodigy – The tactical genius of the team provides the team with opponents weaknesses in the heat of battle. Prodigy lays out the missions specifics after intelligence is obtained by Gambit.
Rockslide – Providing the team with strength and comedic reprieve when times get rough.
Cecilia Reyes – The teams field medic and defensive force.
Thunderbird IV (Neal Shaara) – After dropping off the grid Thunderbird has returned to the fold! Thunderbird provides air defense and offense.

With the events of Schism causing X-Force to disband Rogue establishes a new team to handle their tasks but in a less fatal manner. Based out of Genosha and residing in the husk of a sentinel that helped to destroy the island nation the X-Treme X-Men operate outside of the core X-Titles. They are a ground level team tasked with handling the threats that would typically go overlooked by the more heavy hitting teams of the X-Verse.

The first arc will see the team establish their base on Genosha as well as tracking and battling Lady Deathstrike and the Reavers who are using Spiral’s Body Shoppe to resurrect villains like Cyborg and Omega Red as new Reavers. This leads to a mystery that, as it unravels, will reveal that Mojo, Dark Beast and Mr. Sinister are working together to attempt to imitate Selene’s use of the Technarch transmode virus (Necrosha) to resurrect an army of dead mutants for their nefarious purposes. (The sentinel they set up shop in)

Omega X #1
Written by: Warren Ellis
Illustrated by: Jerome Opena, Nate Simpson (alternating arcs)

After Schism changes the world of the X-Men forever, much of the remaining mutant population finds themselves listless and without direction.

That changes when The Hand – led by Elektra – tries to assassinate Wolverine after successfully killing multiple mutants before him. After being bailed out by a surprise visit from Pete Wisdom, Wolverine is given an offer he can’t refuse: help Wisdom form a new team that is out to not just protect mutants, but aggressively target those who might do them harm. Forming a squad with a complimentary mix of skills and similarly flexible morals, Wisdom sends the team on their first mission from the old X-Men base in the Outback of Australia: find The Hand and discover why they are targeting mutants, and what the recently deceased Mystique has to do with all of this.
Written by New York Times Bestselling author Warren Ellis and illustrated by two up-and-coming talents in Jerome Opena (on the first arc) and Nate Simpson (on the second, space-based arc), Omega X promises to take the X-Men to places that they never thought they could go and readers never thought they would go. Don’t miss this action packed new series, with this double-sized issue kicking things off for just $2.99.

X-CORPS #1

Written by MIKE CAREY
Penciled by JAMIE MCKELVIE
Cover by JAMIE MCKELVIE
Blasting from the ashes of Schism comes an all new X-Corps! Utopia is gone and with what is left of mutantkind expanding across the Earth once more, the need for Mutants Without Borders has never been greater. Enter Kitty Pryde and Peter Rasputin, who together with an multi-national team of X-Men have dedicated themselves to one simple rule: find mutants in need, wherever they may be, and provide them the aid the world has denied them. Just in time too, as former Excalibur member NOCTURNE blasts back into the lives of this dimension’s X-Men with the entire multiverse crashing down around her heels! GUEST STARRING THE EXILES.
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$2.99
The basic idea here is that this is the team that says a big ol’ middle finger to the ideological conflict and decides the protection of the mutants as a species, on the whole, wherever in the world they may be, is the most important thing they can be doing right now. Basically they’re the search and rescue team who also happen to be in desperate need of some TLC themselves.
They’re based at the old Excalibur lighthouse in England, but have taken up temporary residence as needed in all of the abandoned X-Corps facilities across the globe as well.
Kitty & Colossus (co-team leaders) – lead the team in the field together, knock boots.
Iceman – Supplies and Finances (anyone else remember that he’s a certified accountant? True story.)
Chamber + Sunfire – Resident grumps, none too happy about the changes to their physiology, coming to grips with it = plot point. Added to team mostly because I think they look cool.
Mercury – The young one, trying to do her best by those that have given her a shot.
Magik – Transportation/belligerence. The angry one.
Nocturne – Because I can’t have Nightcrawler and also an excuse to bring the Exiles into the mix. Following the first arc, she gets trapped in this dimension.
Mimic – Does not join until arc 2, when the imperative of the team is to help him control his powers, which have spun out of control due to the precognitive visions he had while a member of the Dark X-Men.
