Hello, and welcome back to Saturday Morning Panels! It’s a very simple concept: since none of us are up to watching Saturday morning cartoons anymore, we are instead going to share with you our favorite panels from the week before. It’s a bit like Comics Should Be Cheap, except with more pictures and less reading.
And, of course, spoilers are probably abundant.
We encourage you to play along at home and let us know what your favorite moments of the week were in the comments! In the meantime, our picks:
“The Flash” #23: #classicteamup #quips – Jay Barrett
“Saga” #43: This is surreal, you don’t usually get a comic for ¢25, neither you get a comic about miscarriage. This is a hard topic, horrible, and I think Vaughan and Staples managed to do a respectful and meaningful book, kudos. – Ramon Piña.
“Teen Titans Annual” #1: Every parent can relate. You try to get through to them, but then you just end up having to go back through the time stream again… – Paul Lai
“Secret Empire: Uprising” #1 Man, the later seasons of
Glee got dark – Matt Lune
“Paklis” #1 No out of context series of panels could capture the sheer, unrelenting existential dread the first story in this anthology lodged deep within me – Matt Lune
“Saga” #43: Vaughan and Staples are known for their big splashy pages in “Saga,” but these little moments can be just as impactful (and devastating). – Justin Beeson
